How to approach and talk to girls?

I can talk to girls online, but in the real world it is a completely different game for me.

I always seem to have nothing to talk about with them, having this awkward silence between us. I also find it difficult to approach girls in school and in parties/raves. I want to be the kind of person who girls would want to hang out with.How to approach and talk to girls?

i wish guys would realize girls are nervous too. you need to just go up and start a conversation eventually it wont be awkward but we WANT you to talk to us!!

You miss self confidence,if you have something to talk about online you have in the real world too.
just say any thing you can think of
Just talk about music, movies, anything. Girls like to be complimented and talk about themselves. If your cute you should have no problems
