How can I get up the courage to talk to girls?

Often when drinking in the pub, I notice quite a few nice girls around, but even with far too much alcohol in me, I still get too nervous to go up and introduce myself.



Can anyone give some advice?How can I get up the courage to talk to girls?
1: don't drink before you talk to them( first impressions matter) you can drink after the convo of course

2: if you see someone you like, keep giving them quick glances until you make eye contact and give her a smile, but look away and come right back

3: if there's a pool table around, go up to the girl and tell her

'; hey i was wondering if you liked a game with me';
