im a freshman in h.s.
im pretty attractive, smart, athletic, nice, funny, friendly, charming, but not in a cocky way at all
well in the last 2 weeks its gotten back to me that these girls are talking smack about me. i even overheard a couple of them talking about me in the bathroom at school. i don't know what their problems are.
what could be some reasons why they talk about me?
any advice on how to deal with the situation? Why do these other girls always talk smack about me behind my back?
Because that's how high-school is. Just ignore them - in 2 months time they'll be targeting someone else. Why do these other girls always talk smack about me behind my back?
because they like drama girls in hs are stupid.....i barely had any ';girl-friends'; in highschool....
Girls will always talk behind your back. That's just how it is. Most likely this was spurred by jealousy. That's how it usually starts, and if what you said is true, then they have a lot to be jealous about. Either ignore it, or if you think that the girls are approachable, you could confront them about it. Either way, the best bet is to act like yourself and don't let it get to you. If you are nice to the rest of the student body, chances are that they won't believe bad stuff about you that other girls are spreading.
It doesn't matter if what they say about you is true or not - they're probably just insecure air-heads that talk about anybody. Girls can be really jealous and catty and there doesn't even have to be a good reason - maybe you make them feel insecure because you are nice and have alot going for you. So just keep being yourself, and remember that high-school is just a few short years and you won't even remember those people (and they probably won't even remember you!) after you graduate. If you try to get on their case about their smack they'll just talk about you even more, because you've dropped down to their level and it encourages them. Smile, be friendly, but keep a distance between you and them. You wouldn't want to hang around with people like that anyway.
