In highschool and want to know how to talk to girls?

i just came out of being a total nerd, now i play soccer and girls actually approach me problem is that i have absolutly no idea wat to say to them. i freeze up especially with the pretty girls. this girl is one of the prettiest in skool and i have the privilege of sitting next to her. I have talk to her but usually its an awkward silence i just want to know wat to say to her. I want to know when i used tell her i like her and ask her out. I know all the usual stuff people tell u to be ur self and to be funny and all of that. But i want to know wat to say to be funny i really need help wit this girl and wit furture girls as well. I want to be interesting to girls. please help me.In highschool and want to know how to talk to girls?
ok. wow. u should kno how to talk to gurls by now but ill help u. ok all you have to do is talk to them like you would your best friend so you become best friends. thats all you really have to do. during an awkward silence say something like you would say to one of your friends or say something about the fact that its an awkward silence. Like i would say something lik awkward silence... dot dot dot...... You kno. just b a friend and the u can become more than friends but b careful not to destroy the friendship. So you're a little akward,just think of what you think is funny. If she doesn't think it's funny or you two have nothing to talk about maybe there's another girl who will think it's funny. You don't have to date a girl just because she is the most popular or the prettiest!
First off in High School if you want to be the man you have to be OK with yourself. If others laugh at you, it is OK. If you make a fool of yourself, its OK. Take all your clothes off, stand in front of the mirror and look at your self today. You have to be OK with who is there right now. If you want to loose weight, or lift weights, or whatever, you are in charge of that and know that you can do it. It takes one day at a time. BUT RIGHT NOW you have to be OK with who you are and where you are. That is self confidence. Girls like guys who are sure of themselves. Not arrogant. But sure of their abilities and their path. The worst thing a girl can ever do is say that she doesn't want to date you. Some will, some won't who cares, who's next? Her loss. Dating is not being married. It is dating. Just relax, it gets harder as you get older.
Well, not anyone can be funny even when they want to. Some says stuff and accidentally makes others laugh. So it'll come to you once in a while.

I suggest you to talk to her with what you're interested in most, beside her. Like soccer, tell her about it and how you started...unless she doesn't like sports that much. Find out what she likes from her or your friends or just people; then bring up the subject next time speaking.

I'm no help, because I'm a girl also. The dumbest pick-up line is ';you're hot'; so...if you want to compliment her, say ';beautiful'; haha!! So cheesy...
Sometimes the shy thing is cute. Flattery can get you a long way.. it will usually get a smile out of her. Talk about your common ground. Since you two are in the same class together talk about how much the homework sucked or how borning the teacher is. That CAN lead in to other things like how was her weekend or what she's into. I had a situation like this when I used to sit next to an extreamly shy guy. The first thing he ever said to me after overhearing me and my friend talking about losing 5 lbs was, ';Here eat an apple, you don't need to be on a diet. You're ....ya-know, perfect.'; Now he's my boyfriend of almost 3 years. My advice therefore is ya there is smooth, but girls usually go for the corny approach.
