Why do some girls talk about how cute guys are while they get offended when guys talk about cute other girls?

This is one of the things I just dont understand.



You go to the movies with a friend or whatever and a she says ';Omg, Brad Pitt is soo hot!';

but then when a guy says something like ';Halle Barry is soo fine'; than it becomes offensive



Even if an attractive guy or girl walks by the same rule seems to apply.



Im not promoting checking other girls out while in a relationship but if the girl does it why cant the guy?



I guess both the guys and girls see it as some sort of fantasy competition, but for some reason it seems especially competative with girls.

You are talking about the good ol' double standard. It's there in every relationship it's not just your girl. Don't ever say something about a co-worker unless you want the relationship over. I think it is rude for both guys or girls to brag about another being attractive in front of their date. If you must check someone out, do it on your own.

We also tend to be jealous by nature I think. Sometimes we take those comments as an insult and think that it means you like them better. I dunno. Us girls are strange.



I don't say stuff like that around my guy b/c I know that I wouldn't like it if he did, and he doesn't do it around me because he knows that I don't like it.



I guess it's a natural thing for everyone to find other people attractive, but the less us girls know about things like that...the better!
well girls are of course more sensitive but they think that guys care about only looks sometimes so if you say something about a girl being hot they asume you want them! girls now if they say man hes hot or w/e its no big because they arn't going to dump you for them but they like to have things there way and if you are doing something or possible checking out other girls than they think your not paying attention to them or maybe you think they arn't attractive or somethin! hope this helps
Life is not fair, deal with it.. sometimes alittle drama to get the other person attention,jealousy is like confirming the pole position. it that person meant something to you then you will probably be feeling it and your reaction is what they may be looking for. like a confirmation.

I don't know man, i'm having the same problem. Having a double standard for different genders isn't fair. They're just to complicated for me!
When girls do that it is to see how jealous she can make the guy to show her how much he likes her. But guys arn't suppose to do it. When guys say it it is suggesting that he doesnt like her all that much and that she doesnt look good enough for you. I dont quite agree with it but thats the way it is.
