Girls talk: How Come Guys Dont Initiate The Break-Up?

My Boyfriend says he has to contact his ex for the sake of his mum? He is 30yo. Him and His Ex were on for 3 year, for us 18months. His mom doesnt know about me yet. What should I do? how come he cant break it up with me, it hurts finding out and being left than just telling honestly how u really feel, right girls???Girls talk: How Come Guys Dont Initiate The Break-Up?
Some men do consider the woman's feelings and pride. They leave it to her to initiate the break-up. It's like being a gentleman over the whole thing although I believe it is a coward's way out of a relationship he doesn't like or is not comfortable anymore. Rather that than to face the woman (who might get hysterical) and explain why and maybe, just maybe, get a slap in the face for being a jerk.

How certain are you that your boyfriend wants to break off with you? Has he indicated his intention in more ways than one? His plan to contact his ex-gf does not necessarily mean going back to her arms unless, of course, he has said something to this effect. Anyway, to set your mind at ease, ask him about it...or what he intends to do. You have every right to know and get on with your life in case he plans to delete you out of his life. As to his mother not knowing about your relationship, that is something you should have asked before.

Don't fret over one guy. It hurts the first time but you'll come to terms with it, depending on how deeply hurt you are and how easily you can recover. There are a lot of fishes in the ocean just waiting to be caught. :)Girls talk: How Come Guys Dont Initiate The Break-Up?
simply they are retarded!
because men are stupid and idiots and zombies with no soul
It's easier said than done to break up with somebody.

It can be simpler than cutting cake for some people, and then it could be the hardest thing in the world for others.

We shouldn't generalize ';men do this'; or ';women do that';, in fact everything goes for all people.

Some people are afraid of hurting the other's feelings, some just can't bare the fact that they will be hurting somebody's feelings, a few get the thrill of not breaking up with someone while they're going out with someone else (that's a ';player'; in my eyes)...

There are lots of different reasons, but it should never be just men's fault.

Women are just as guilty as all the things we accuse them for.
Is it OK for a man to answer this one?

Maybe just maybe he is not breaking up with you at this time because of what he is getting from you? And her?

Trying to be nice about this %26amp; not offend you or other people.
Ouch, ouch on the first two responses. I'd vouch for the third reply that the issue does not pertain to one gender alone. It is most likely borne from the personality of an individual.

On one occasion, It took me a year to completely get out of an ailing relationship, trying desperately hard not to hurt the other party...probably because of the guilt that I was the remover having the issues (not too proud of it). I know now that it is the chicken's way and no amount of gentleness can make a break-up any easier for anybody.

So in the light of the event, I would say your BF ...maybe ex BF by now, was not so much into you and marooning with not-so-convincing alibis (including mom) was his way of getting off from the relationship with less damage to your ego. The trajectory is coming from: mom - to son - to you. This kinda makes it look like the blame is not on him, but on the situation that he cannot do anything about. Bottomline: he's a chicken and you deserve better.
When a guy doesn't know what he wants(or in this case who he really likes) he'd rather play it safe and hedge his bet. Kinda like find out by default. Most mama's boys are like this, since they really can't decide for themselves, having been used to their mom deciding everything for them.
Boys want all the girls simultaneously.
Men do. When you get mad enough you will leave and won't be able to say he abandoned you.

Sounds like he has already started.
